Just a short thing on me here.

My name is James, at the time of starting this blog in 2017 I am 22, and I am using this to catalog my journey into animation and digital art.  I am a computer enthusiast and a linux user, like games, photography, and purple is my favorite color.  I have a very hard set view on things and a libertarian political view, though I tend to stay away from some politics.

In short, I have always had a favoring to animation.  I like anime, and as a kid I was always wondering HOW it all worked.  As I went on and watched stuff on cartoon network, I got into drawing.  I learned about art styles and how shows could compare (Jackie Chan Adventures being somewhat similar to Ed Edd and Eddy, etc), how characters could be made to interact, and so on.  What has always been a problem for me is a sense of depth and color.  I have a level of colorblindness inherited from my mom that has become somewhat of an issue for me.  As I said earlier, I like the color purple, but I like it because that is definitely purple whenever I look at it.  But certain shades of blue are more green, green more brown, and oranges and yellows are just hell for me.  So hopefully on this journey I will get those issues nailed down and potentially fixed.

As I get on with all of this I will be using OpenToonz and a combination of Krita, Inkscape, and GIMP on OSX 10.11.  If any curiosity comes up of my hardware, I have a mac pro 1,1 with a Nvidia 9800GT as well as a few hackintosh laptops.  I will work on this both at home as well as out on the move and more often than not post entire screenshots.
