Following Thoughts

Hello again!

After yesterday I started to get a few following thoughts, not only about this blog, but also about the software I'll be using (krita) and about the hardware that I have (MP 1,1). I have wondered if I should have beefier hardware set up for this sort of thing (animation / digital art) and do wander what the limitations I will have are. Plus, I only have 1 1080p screen, the rest of my monitors are 5:4 or 4:3 which in playing with Krita yesterday showed me that the software is designed for 16:9 monitors. I can't really afford a new monitor so I've played with the thought of hackintoshing my current desktop, a Lenovo workstation with a Xeon and an R7 370. That way I would have the environment I want and the screen I would most likely need. Then I had another thought completely...

Should I expand this blog to more than just my animation and digital art stuff?

Its too early to really decide that, but for me technology is a big part of my life. And if I start modifying stuff to make this stuff easier on me, would it be good to post that process here as well? I'll keep it noted down that I might have a technology section here eventually on top of ASOM but for now I think I'll keep it where I have it.

As for the screen problem, I'm trying to decide if I want to just get a cheap GPU for my mac and use my mac as the main desktop and move my linux gaming machine off to the side. This may happen eventually but at the moment I'm not completely sure. I could also just tackle this in linux, of course, though it seems more convenient to me to keep all my things together on one machine and in one environment. Partitioning the mind, as it were. Either way, its something I am thinking about.

Tablet arrives tomorrow. Will post again when I have it. If I post sooner I imagine it will be for some other blob of ideas I have just to note them somewhere.
