Time Means Little When You're Busy

I've been trying to find a purpose for many of the things I am interested in, as well as purpose for this site.

At first it really was only for animations, drawing, but I couldn't do that much with the hardware I had. It just isn't that capable. I still have it, but I don't have the talent to use such shitty stuff.

As time has gone on, I had some runins with life, had some changes, had some people leave, and one of them might read this. If he does, A you're a dick, B you should probably come home, and C sorry for being an asshole. I know that means little with point A being up front, but so it goes, I'm still angry. But, come home, work at a news paper, crank that shit. I'm doing that here.

I decided that my knowledge of design and current focus on end-user rights and development needed to come together for one solid development. Either I get hired as a designer at a company, or I die. Thats what I have decided.

What company? Dunno. But I have too many things on my mind to not do it as my active thing.

So, what am I designing? Good question.

Probably a mess honestly.

I want to push for a miiverse style communications service to be up front and center on things like the steam deck, and consoles. I feel end users need a way for publishers and devs to communicate with them when there is an issue, and that it would be more valuable to have that done on a platform hosted by the console manufacturers, rather than on stupid websites like reddit where you literally can't post anything.

On top of that, I'm redesigning the way data is channeled through the internet. Though, honestly, it might end up as an SS7 replacement or something. IDK yet, its a crazy system that I'm not even done designing yet. I only have 4 of 11 systems sort of designed, and theres so much more work to be done, and a fuck ton more math. Its called BitRot, and is likely my magnum opus.

As for console stuff, I want steam to focus on modding more. Modding is more a store feature, rather than the heart and soul of steam, as it should be. There should be something like a github client for modders to use, and a social network built around things like workshop posts and whole new game modes uploaded through mods. Theres whole periods of Valve's development that only exist because of mods. We would have never gotten Half Life, Team Fortress, or Counter Strike without modding. And now they are just.... roullette boards.

Its honestly disgusting.

Something needs to be done, and I think I have some ideas as to how.

More to come soon.
